Home feed's working now (under RSS)

There won't be any new updates after because I would have to deal with Odysee to try to use their actual API and yes I'm a new small independent developer - not doing for play store, app store etc. But anyways this is what it looks like (self-explanatory). Yes it is broken for the time-being but will be resolved anytime I will. Thanks

Settings page, a placeholder page for Help & Feedback and now a video card (placeholder as well) are now there!

Note: First to be posted in the GMT+2 normal/standard/winter/classic time as about we reach the end of year (this will also be like this until in late March 2026). I just recently got the settings page, the Help & Feedback section page (placeholder) working and got to show a video box card where it will eventually show up real data for video titles, view counts and the time where the video was published, as well as thumbnails and video/live stream durations. Here are some screenshots of it:
Stay tuned for other updates as I code and progess more and I will use the Odysee's open-sourced free API (using their API links) to get for videos, search, channels and more.

Some updates to my "Odysee Lite" project

Note: This blogpost is posted in GMT+3 as well, which means this is the last blogpost in this timezone this year, as we switch to the normal GMT+2 timezone. Expect different times when I post future blogposts in the standard GMT+2 timezone. After some fiddling, tinkering and working on the appbar of the "Home" page, doing the sidebar and others, I hereby declare to share some first new updates to my app project there (supports Android 5 and later): The splash screen has been fixed, and the app bar on the home page is now clean and working!;
Sidebar is now available and working as well!;
Even got the Sign In (placeholder) page to work, with the back button going back to the home page!
Working on an Android app like this one is not so easy, it took me hours to design in the app's few basic components. Expect more updates in future blogposts but in the winter/normal/classic/original/standard GMT+2 timezone (it is different for every country, region and continent, though!).

First blogpost there and welcome!

Recently, a few hours ago, I have started to develop an Android app, called "Odysee Lite", which makes that alternative to YouTube also work on Android 5.0 and later as an app, next to the official app (requires Android 7.0 or later), where this one's faster and has a simpler UI for legacy phones and tablets. But first, what is Odysee? According to Wikipedia, "Odysee is an American decentralized video hosting platform, built on the LBRY blockchain. It positions itself as an alternative to mainstream services like YouTube, but with a focus on freedom of speech and decentralization.". Now let's talk about how I managed to start developing this application: Recently, when I was talking to Microsoft Copilot on about how can I make an Odysee app that supports Android 5.0 and later - and that idea came to my mind. I had to install Android Studio (Arctic Fox | 2020.3.1), and upgrade to Java 17. Then I started talking to the Copilot about working on the thing, adding in images, making splash screen and whatnot and after some hours, the result is like this:
The splash screen did not work, but got the UI to work, but is a mess. At least the appbar does work and looks accurate to the one from YouTube versions 6.x to early 12.x, with the hamburger menu icon on left and the labeling (which is "Home", seen in image) on right. Hopefully I will start to develop more, adding in more pages like searching, videos, channels, search page, watch page, channels page and more. Remember, this is my first Android app project, I might make a news app that would use RSS feeds, a nice UI and widget too after I finish with Odysee Lite. Thank you, and have a nice day or night.
